Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Citigroup have all left the Net-Zero Banking Alliance.

The latest departures follow Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo who both left the coalition in December following increasing pressure on financial institutions from Republican lawmakers.

In a statement, Morgan Stanley said that the bank’s commitment to meeting its carbon targets “remains unchanged”.
