Wellington Management has released its Global Impact Annual Report which includes updates on the firm’s range of impact strategies.
Highlights include:
• The evolution of Wellington’s impact platform and updates on its most recent addition, the firm’s emerging markets impact strategy launched in January 2021
• The 11 impact themes (including life essentials, human empowerment and environment) aligned with the UN SDGs which are driving Wellington’s approach and strongly positioning the firm to capture new developments across developed and emerging markets
• How Wellington applies key criteria including measuring materiality, additionality and measurability when evaluating engagements and determining eligibility for impact portfolios
• The measurement frameworks Wellington leverages, along with the firm’s outlook on the role measurement standardization plays in ensuring the impact investing industry scales with integrity
