Investment manager Candriam has launched the Sustainable Bond Impact Fund.
Candriam says the fund uses the UN SDGs to invest in global bonds that supports the transition to a low carbon economy or to improve social disparity, and applies an in-house ESG screening to issuers. It will be managed by Phillipe Dehoux, head of global bonds, Céline Deroux, senior fixed income strategist and Nicolas Forest, global head of fixed income.
The fund includes a minimum 75% ratio of sustainable bonds to contribute positively to the UN SDGs and will be classified as an Article 9-financial product under the SFDR. 10% of the net management fee will be donated to specific organisations supporting green or social projects.
