Newton Investment Management has hired Therese Niklasson as global head of sustainable investment.

Niklasson will be in charge of responsible research and ESG integration at the firm and will report to CEO Euan Munro. She was previously with global head of sustainability at Ninety One.

“Therese’s extensive experience and proven track record in building global ESG capabilities and influencing and transforming investment teams’ approach to sustainability issues, will be instrumental in driving Newton’s vision and continued development of our sustainable investment franchise,” said Munro.
