Amundi has launched the Just Transition for Climate fund, a European fixed income energy transition fund.
The fund benchmark is the Bloomberg Barclays Euro Aggregate Corporate index comprised of 3122 corporate bonds. It will apply a negative screen based on climate and social criteria to select issuers that have affirmed a goal to reduce their carbon footprint and maintain a carbon footprint that is 20% lower than benchmark.
Amundi’s ‘just transition’ score will look at the different social aspects involved in the transition to a low-carbon economy, such as impact on employees, consumers, local communities and society at large. The fund will be led by Alban de Faÿ, head of fixed income ESG investing.
