Allianz Global Investors has announced that its sustainability division will now incorporate three new units covering research, stewardship and overall sustainable strategy.

The firm has created a sustainability methodologies & analytics team looking at tech and ESG data to support their sustainability research, ESG integration, scoring and climate strategy. It will be led by Thomas Roulland who was previously at AXA Investment Managers.

The second new unit is sustainability research & stewardship team. It will manage the thematic research and engagement strategy under Mark Wade. Antje Stobbe has been promoted head of stewardship.

The firm has also created a sustainable investment office to direct its sustainable investment strategy and product strategy. The team will be headed by Nina Hodzic.
