Manulife Investment Management has expanded its impact investing and natural climate solutions team.

Eric Cooperström has been hired to oversee the development of sustainability and responsible investing capabilities for Manulife Investment Management’s timberland and agriculture teams. He joins from The Nature Conservancy where he had been responsible for asset management within its impact investment arm, NatureVest.

Cooperström will be based in San Francisco and report to Brian Kernohan, who is chief sustainability officer, private markets at Manulife Investment Management.
