GAM has launched a sustainable local emerging bond fund, its first ESG focused strategy.

The strategy has been developed in partnership with VBV-Pensionskasse and will be managed by Paul McNamara of GAM emerging markets debt team. It combines a positive tilt towards sovereigns with higher ESG defined by its benchmark, the JP Morgan ESG GBI-EM GD Index, and typically invests in 15-25 emerging and frontier markets.
