JP Morgan AM launches carbon ETF

JP Morgan Asset Management has launched a new carbon transition ETF.

The JPMorgan Carbon Transition U.S. Equity ETF offers exposure to US companies transitioning to a lower-carbon economy. It is aligned with the firm’s Sustainable Investment Framework, a proprietary research framework which identifies companies best positioned to benefit from the transition to a low carbon economy.

The fund will track the JPMorgan Asset Management Carbon Transition U.S. Equity Index and look to offer investors at least 30% less carbon intensity than the Russell 1000 index, and a year-on-year de-carbonization target of at least 7%, in line with the EU Climate Transition Benchmark (CTB) framework for sustainable investing.
