50% of new passive funds launched in Europe in 2020 were ESG linked says Citi.

New passive investments totaled $4.2 billion across 52 funds in Europe representing 50% of the total versus 12% in the US and 3.7% in Asia. Citi says, “…the trend is likely to continue into 2021 with ESG versions of ETFs across more and more ETF categories becoming available and not just on major geographical indices.”
