ESG investments have risen to €1.7trn in Germany and Austria, a four fold increase over the past 5 years.

A survey of 54 asset managers in Germany and Austria by the Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen (FNG) also found that 68% of German asset managers said they integrate ESG factors in more than 80% of their funds. 63% of participants said they use ESG integration in their funds investment process but 55% in Germany admitted to not practicing engagement or only using their voting rights on ESG issues.
