The Sustainability Linked Bond Principles have been launched for bond issuers.

The Principles were announced at the The Green and Social Bond Principles AGM hosted by the London Stock Exchange Group in London last week. They are voluntary guidelines where the bond issuer commits to predefined Sustainability Performance Targets. These include the selection of key performance indicators, the calibration of sustainability performance targets, as well as details of bond characteristics, reporting and verification.

While the Green Bond Principles remained unchanged, the Social Bond Principles were updated to expand project categories and target population.
