Oil and gas producer Total has set a net zero emissions target to be reached by 2050.
The emissions cover production and operational emissions worldwide (scope 1 & 2) and use of its products by customers across Europe (scope 3). The commitment is the outcome of an agreement between Total and Climate Action 100+, a body consisting of 450 investors and stewardship providers, with more than $40 trillion in assets.
