Norges Bank has excluded five fossil fuel companies from the Government Pension Fund Global.
Norges Bank has decided to exclude Sasol, RWE, Glencore, AGL and Anglo American after an assessment against the product-based coal criteria based on their Guidelines for Observation and Exclusion of Companies from the Government Pension Fund Global. The exclusions are based on new thresholds for coal companies that were added to the guidelines last year. The fund has also placed the companies BHP Group Ltd/BHP Group, Vistra Energy Corp, Enel and Uniper on an ‘observation list’.
