The Hong Kong Stock Exchange will demand greater ESG disclosure from listed companies.

The rules will come into effect on July 1 and include making boards of directors responsible for ESG. Companies are also required to disclose how climate change will affect their business and declare their policies on the identification and mitigation of climate-related risks to their company.
