State Street Global Advisors has launched a new ETF that screens the S&P 500 for ESG exclusions.

The SPDR S&P 500 ESG Screened Ucits ETF  tracks the S&P 500 ESG Exclusions II Index and excludes companies based on data from Sustainalytics. The exclusions are controversial weapons, civilian firearms, tobacco and thermal coal, as well as companies that do not comply with the principles of the UN Global Compact. 36 stocks in the S&P 500 are currently excluded via the screening process.
