Singapore will invest US$2 billion in green funds to fight climate change.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) will launch a US$2 billion Green Investments Programme investing in funds that have a green focus with asset managers in Singapore. The MAS will also allocate US$100 million to the Bank for International Settlements’ Green Bond to support its global green finance initiatives.
