The continuing boom in capital investment in South East Asia is seeing an increase in ESG targeting, according to a new report by Bain and Company.
Of the private equity deals in the region in the first half of 2019, 56% involved companies that met their sustainability criteria for developing countries, up from 30% in 2017. The report also found that 96% of investors in Southeast Asia say they have accelerated their efforts to incorporate ESG into their investment decisions.
