The US has approved legislation requiring public companies to disclose ESG data.
On Friday the House Financial Services Committee approved the bill that also creates the Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee at the SEC to advise on ESG disclosure that should be required. The committee will also report on challenges and opportunities for investors in sustainable finance and suggest policy changes.
