Fitch Ratings has launched an ESG ‘heat map’ product for corporate issuers.
The map covers 51 industry sectors and provides information on the relevance of ESG factors to credit ratings. For each ESG factor the map shows the highest ESG score applied to a defined percentage of issuers in each sector and shows which companies are being impacted by the ESG topic identified within the sector. It will highlight sector trends such as drug pricing for the pharmaceutical sector, attitudes to tobacco and emissions standards.
