A survey by Preqin shows that of all alternative asset managers, private equity firms are most committed to ESG investing.
Of 177 private equity firms surveyed, 48% say they have ESG investing strategies in place or plan to in the next 12 months. This compares to other alternative asset managers such as hedge funds, private debt and infrastructure where only about a third or less of firms have an ESG investing policy in place. Across all alternative asset classes, approximatley 50% of firms say they have no plans to implement an ESG policy,
