Japanese bank, MUFG, is to set up a new ESG funding unit for financial products. The new division will specialise in providing finance to companies with higher ESG ratings. The bank will also be investing its own money in ESG related projects. MUFG’s holding company, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group will be signing up to the Principles for Responsible Banking being launched by the United Nations in September.
