US ESG fund inflows hits record in Q1

Inflows into ESG ETFs and open-end funds in the US reached a record high of $10.5bn in Q1.

The data from Morningstar shows inflows jumped from the previous record quarter of close to $9bn. However, inflows in March fell sharply to $1.6bn down from $5.2bn in January. Inflows into ESG equity funds stood at $2.4bn but fixed income saw a net outflow of $0.8bn in the month. The data shows iShares ETFs are by far the most popular with 15 sustainable ETFs, followed by Vanguard and Calvert.
