BNP Paribas AM adds two bond ESG ETFs

BNP Paribas Asset Management has launched two new fixed income ESG ETFs.

The BNP Paribas Easy Sustainable EUR Corporate Bond and BNP Paribas Easy Sustainable EUR Government Bond ETFs began trading on 20 February on Borsa Italiana and Deutsche Börse Xetra.

The funds apply an index approach combined with BNP’s proprietary ESG methodology, exclusion policies and active engagement. The corporate bond fund is classified as Article 9 according to SFDR regulation and its benchmark is the Bloomberg Euro Aggregate Corporate index. The government bond fund is classified as an Article 8 fund with the benchmark being the J.P. Morgan EMU Investment Grade Index.

Marie-Sophie Pastant, Head of Index & ETF Strategies – Portfolio Management at BNPP AM said, “This new range combines our bespoke sustainable methodology with our indexing expertise. It will enable us to react promptly to any controversies without needing to wait for the next index rebalancing, and to respond rapidly to the changing environment. This will allow us to comply more easily with the different sustainability label criteria.”
