AllianceBernstein has launched two new equity funds, both classified as Article 8 under SFDR regulation.

The AB European Growth Portfolio and the AB Global Growth Portfolio will be managed by the same portfolio management team led by Thorsten Winkelmann that joined AB in January 2024 from Allianz Global Investors.

The AB European Growth Portfolio comprises a portfolio of approximately 40 to 60 mid/large market cap companies, and the AB Global Growth Portfolio approximately 50 to 80 mid/large market cap. The funds will invest in companies with sustainable competitive advantages and stock selection, says AB, will be a three-step process – idea generation, fundamental due diligence, and portfolio design.

Thorsten Winkelmann, portfolio manager of AB European Growth and Global Growth Portfolios, said, “The team and I are excited to launch these funds at AllianceBernstein. We have a time-tested philosophy and approach. As a team we have spent most of our careers on these strategies and have proven success in these strategies over time. I believe they complement the current range of AB strategies”.
