80% US investors to increase ESG says PwC

A new report by PwC on ESG investing says that 8 of 10 US investors plan to increase their allocations to ESG products over the next two years.

In Europe, 84 per cent said they planned to increase their ESG-related allocation.

The report also estimates that by 2026 total ESG related assets is set to total US$33.9 trillion, outpacing the industry as a whole. It also says that demand for sustainable investments is outstripping supply despite some recent reports of a backlash again ESG. However, only 45% of investors were planning to launch new ESG funds but PwC says they expect AUM held by ESG mutual funds to grow 12.4% compound annually between 2021 and 2026.
