Survey shows US investors plan ESG increase

80% of US investors plan to increase their allocation to ESG products according to a new survey by Brown Brothers Harriman.

In Europe, 67% of investors plan to increase their allocation to ESG over the next year, a drop of 6% compared to last year’s results. 80% of investors in the US and 92% in Greater China are planning on increasing their investment in ESG products, a respective increase of 11% and 13% compared with 2020. For ESG ETF investments, performance remains a concern for 42% of global investors surveyed. Nevertheless, in five years, an average of 31% of investors still expect to have at least 11% invested in ESG ETFs, with China leading on 42%, followed by the US on 29% and Europe on 23%.
