Fulcrum Asset Management has launched the Fulcrum Climate Change Fund.
The new fund provides exposure to the global equity markets and aims to explicitly target climate change mitigation. The long-only strategy consists of a portfolio across sectors and regions of 150 to 200 stocks that are aligned with, or on track to meet, the Paris Agreement’s below 2 degree target. This is Fulcrum’s first impact offering following the launch of its first sustainable fund, the Fulcrum Diversified Liquid Alternatives Fund in 2018.
Iselin Aslakstrom, Responsible Investment Officer at Fulcrum says, “Demand from investors for sustainable funds continue to increase, especially for funds with an environmental focus, highlighting the imperative nature of climate change. Our new impact fund is focused on the long-term objective of aligning our portfolio with the Paris Agreement 2 degree target. As well as applying climate data from Iceberg Data Lab, the portfolio also has a strong engagement component and a focus on companies that are actively decarbonising.”
