ESG investing in Asia is set to growth strongly in the coming years according to Standard Chartered.
In its Sustainable Investing Review 2020 report, the bank surveyed 1000 investors in Hong Kong, Singapore and the UAE. It found that over the next three years, 43% of investors in Asia are considering putting between 5% and 10% of their funds into sustainable investments with 8% looking to invest more than 25%. Overall, 90% of respondents in Asia said they are interested in sustainable investments and plan to invest between 5% and 10% at some point in the future.
