BlackRock has launched its first ESG Asian corporate bond fund.

The BGF ESG Asian Bond Fund will invest in US dollar denominated Asian credit focusing on companies demonstrating strong ESG criteria. The strategy will be benchmarked against the JP Morgan Asia Credit ESG (JESG) Index, which excludes companies from controversial sectors. Blackrock says the fund has been launched because “the market sees how Asian credit now offers a compelling case for sustainable investing”.
